On Oct. 7, 2010 at 2:00 pm Lytle VFD was dispatched to a leaking natural gas meter on Wisdom Road in the City of Lytle. Lytle E-2 went en-route with and arrived to find that the gas meter had been damaged below the shut off and was unable to stop the leak.
On Sept. 26, 2010 at 3:00 pm Lytle VFD was dispatched to IH 35 for a one vehicle rollover accident. Lytle E-2 went en-route with a crew of three followed by R-1. Upon arrival the driver was self extricated and walking around.
Lytle VFD had a busy day due to Tropical Storm Hermine. Lytle VFD responded to total of 8 calls for service with 4 of them being Swift/High Water Rescues.
On August 24, 2010 during the early morning hours Lytle VFD was dispatched to assist Bexar County ESD5 F/R with a commercial structure fire. Lytle Q-1 and E-2 responded with a crew of 3 each. Upon arrival Lytle VFD assisted with extinguishing several metal carts that contained burning materials.
On Aug. 3, 2010 at 11:42 am Lytle VFD was dispatched to assist ESD 5 F/R with a Structure Fire in the 13800 blk. of Kinney Road. Engine-2 went enroute with a crew of 4 followed by the Chief. Engine-2 and the Chief arrived on scene and assisted other fire crews with looking for fire extension.
On Aug. 1, 2010 at 6:47 pm Lytle VFD was dispatched to a Train vs. 18 Wheeler Accident on Old Frio City Road at Pearsall Road. Engine-2 went enroute with a crew of 3 followed by Rescue-1 with a crew of 2 and BT-4 with a crew of 1.
